Odds ‘n’ Ends
Being the granny that I am it is perhaps time to start carrying a notebook so I can jot down a few things so I don’t forget to blog about it later. I know I’ve missed stories… oh but have I been telling the same stories more than once because that can happen too! When life is busy I know time goes by and I don’t get the opportunity to blog as quickly as I would like and the memory is what it’s always been. This isn’t a complaint just stating the facts. Here’s a collection of odds and ends I thought about today.
I was golfing in a tournament (first time golfing) and was booked to do this all day as it was 18 holes. I was on the 11th hole when my cell phone rang. My sister was calling to tell me that Tre pulled the fire alarm in the church hall where she and Nana were preparing supper for the family reunion. They were just cleaning up to leave when it happened and the kids were running around playing and he was curious I guess. The matter was under control then and there was nothing I could do about it. Apparently I just needed the information to get through the game of golf?? So I still don’t know what the point of that call was.
Nana took the kids out to camp to hang out for the day and play in the lake. Lots of Nana’s friends were there and so they were all happy to see the kids and obviously very friendly towards them. Tre was excited to play in the water and dirt. Do not distract a boy on a mission! One lady approached him and was wanting to strike up a little conversation. Tre simply held up his hand, “stop talking now” was all he could get out. No time for chit chat, must play. She thought it was funny. So do I… some might think it rude, but really, how many of us would like to say “stop talking now” once in a while? I think there is a lesson to be learned here. Sometimes it’s not time for talking or listening, just get the job done.
Dija had the fun of a shower with Neenee so I could keep an eye on her while I got clean. Multitasking in the simplest form. So she continued to play in the water after I was long gone and since it was just her and no brother she was having a great time. I knew it must be cooling off and she was shriveling up so I asked if she was finished or still enjoying the bath. She answered, “me joyin it.” She’s playing with our interesting language so well and has adorable new words daily!
Tre recently decided to colour more carefully & control the markers instead of letting them control him. He’s not perfected it yet but he’s trying and knows he can do better. So he picks a picture and works away at it and huffs and puffs and passes me the marker, “too hard, you do it yourself!” Because apparently I’m demanding art for my fridge??? So I played along and continued colouring and taking direction for the three year old boss. Do that part, colour the boots, oops missed a bit, get it over there, more Neenee…good job. Phew, glad I can colour!
OK, I just had to get all that off my mind…thanks for reading it.

Getting adequate Laptop memory is very important to effectively run all the many applications that need to be run. People do see the difference clearly when they upgrade from a 512 MB to a 1GB or perhaps 2GB RAM.
