Poor Farrah
You know you are not the luckiest person in the world when, after battling cancer for three years, you finally succumb to the disease and instead of being remembered for your valiant battle, you are relegated to the back pages because Michael Jackson dies on the same day.
What odds? Wacko Jacko dies of some heart ailment after many many years of abusing his body and being thoroughly “misunderstood”. Farrah has a more noble passing yet all anyone talks about is her shaving cream commercial with Joe Namath. Now I think Michael was a talented guy, but genius and mental instability are a very close couple. Would he be someone I would want to be friends with. Maybe. Farrah, you bet! He pin-up poster is still the best selling one of all time. And who can argue with a beautiful woman who can punch your lights out ( well on TV at least ).
Growing up with Charlie’s Angels and the Six Million Dollar Man, I can honestly say I am going to miss Farrah more than Michael.
Until then, I remain
A Sour Kraut.

Exactly my sentiment, SK. All us boomers took a real shot in our mortality outlooks when we lost two generational icons on the same day. However, dealing with that will be much easier than if MJ goes Elvis. I can just see the tabloid sightings now: Michael spotted at Florida mall flea market with the King…

Agreed!! It’s interesting that everyone is talking about how brilliant he was and maybe that’s true, but let’s be real, he was also a child abuser. Sure, maybe he wasn’t convicted, but neither was OJ.
