A group of 30 year old friends attempt to throw one last Labour Day party before the summer house is sold. That party…is an orgy.

Right off the top I know that you’re thinking this is just another excuse for language and nudity, which is not the case. Granted, both components are certainly available during the film’s 95 minutes, they are not the movie’s main focus. The movie has a lot more heart than the title gives it credit for, and it really is a story about friendship, and growing up. In a nutshell, it’s a coming of middle age story. The characters are all very relatable and it would be my guess that if you can’t relate to one of them personally, you’ve definitely crossed paths with one or two of them.

I picked this movie up based solely on the fact that Tyler Labine was in it, and he has yet to disappoint. After seeing this, I am happy to report that he still has a flawless record. It was also nice to see Martin Starr with a larger role and the entire cast was incredibly well rounded. Everyone brought something unique to the table, it’s a very diverse group of actors and they all played to their strengths.

I felt I needed to do a review on this movie as I figured the title may scare some people away. While it’s probably not the best choice for a family movie night, I would definitely recommend it for either a date night, a night in with some friends, or if you feel like kicking back and having a laugh solo.
